For those of you who have read my requests for prayers concerning certain situations;
following are copies of emails that I sent to the local Red Cross after contacting them for information to help me with my URGENT needs. After reading the email you will understand a portion of my plight. They sent back a response which explains a portion of what I am dealing with in the city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The local Red Cross sent me a list of organizations which most of them I have been to; but the one that really stands out is the email in which the tells me to go to a counselor at WSSU in which last week I had a meeting requesting a refund because I did not receive the services from the university and therefore was not certified as a teacher; therefore even with a teacher shortage (they will not hire(lateral entry) certain individuals without teacher certification, which puts me in a situation of need, even with a degree instead of a position in which I would be considered highly employable. But because of the type of degree(Bachelor of Arts) in this city, options for employment are limited. If I had an attorney; I would not be going through their constant circles and imagine having documentation of decades of constantly going through their circles. The housing situation that I am in is mostly caused by the Housing Authority of W-S= because one of their departments did work which resulted in holes that allowed rodents in house; etc.. In other words, an individual, especially one who doesn't have an attorney is at their mercy.(Surprise that they did not suggest that I go to the local Legal Aid who has always informed me that they couldn't/wouldn't help me.) As a minster said this morning on"The Light" radio station in which I called in for prayer "put the situation in God's hands." So plese pray that I put the situation in God's hand, God takes the effect of the stress,that I overcome and still live and declare the Glory of the Lord.
The Mission of The American Red Cross, states that it is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross movement, provides relief to
victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to
emergencies. Focus in my particular situation is that I need for them to provide relief to help prevent prepare for an emergency.
